H.E. Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, inaugurated today the Saudi-Russian Contracting Forum, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) in Moscow as part of the official visit of the Saudi delegation to the Russian Federation.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Al-Hogail emphasized the Kingdom’s leadership commitment to strengthening cooperation with Russia across various fields, particularly in construction and building. He highlighted the importance of developing strategic partnerships between Saudi and Russian companies, adopting advanced technological solutions, and facilitating the transfer of expertise in ways that contribute to advancing the sector and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority, stated that the Forum represents a platform for launching practical and productive cooperation between leading contracting companies in both countries. He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, to facilitating procedures and addressing obstacles to future partnerships in line with the rapid pace of development underway in the Kingdom.

The Russian side was headed by Mr. Alexander Moor, President of the Russian National Center for Construction Policy, who praised the success of the Forum and emphasized that the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Center and the Saudi Contractors Authority represents an important step toward strengthening economic relations. He added that the agreement opens broad opportunities for the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint projects, particularly in light of the rapid growth of the Kingdom’s construction sector.
