Main Authority Missions

The building and construction sector is considered the second-largest non-oil sector in the Kingdom, and the contracting industry represents an essential and integral pillar of this sector. The Authority aims to organize, develop, and enhance the contracting industry, build distinguished productive competencies, and create a safe, world-class quality environment. The Authority will also work to find appropriate solutions to the problems and crises facing contractors in general, encourage innovation, and enhance communication among all relevant parties in the sector.

Establish the foundations and standards related to the construction sector, and elevate and develop them.
Collect and publish information and statistics related to the construction sector.
Develop indicators for sector-related information, such as building material prices and prevailing contractor wages in the market.
Prepare standard contract templates for the construction sector.
Prepare studies and research related to the construction sector.
Provide relevant entities with data, information, and updates related to the construction sector.
Support the national and foreign construction contracting sector in the Kingdom.
Inform contractors of relevant regulations, decisions, and instructions related to the construction sector.
Identify obstacles facing the sector and contractors, discuss them with relevant government entities, and develop suitable solutions that serve the sector.
Qualify specialized arbitrators through courses related to the construction sector.
Work, as much as possible, to resolve disputes between contractors amicably if the parties agree.
Inform contractors about new investment opportunities in the construction sector.
Encourage contractors to benefit from local and international expertise houses.
Encourage investment in joint projects within the construction sector.
Organize courses and hold conferences, seminars, and exhibitions related to the construction sector, and participate in them.
Provide technical consultations within its scope according to the regulations approved by the council.
Provide recommendations and proposals to government entities when drafting or reviewing sector-related regulations when requested.
Represent the construction sector in relevant committees, bodies, federations, and international unions.
Encourage contractors to employ Saudis in the construction sector.
Create an electronic register with interactive data about contractors, their specialties, and past work, enabling the public to assess satisfaction with contractor performance, updated periodically.
Provide training and development programs for contracting firms and their technical staff to ensure development and improved workforce competency.
