His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, reviewed the Saudi Contractors Authority’s strategic plans and future initiatives aimed at developing the contracting sector in the region during a meeting with Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), and a number of Board members.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan emphasized that the construction projects and contracting sector is one of the Kingdom’s promising and pivotal sectors in supporting national development. He highlighted the importance of localizing jobs within the sector and qualifying and training national talent, given the high-quality professional opportunities the sector provides and its contribution to economic growth and improved project delivery across Madinah Region.

During the meeting, the delegation reviewed the Authority’s future initiatives, as well as the services and achievements highlighted in its 2024 Annual Report, in addition to key projects currently being implemented by the Authority in Madinah Region.

The meeting also included an overview of the contracting sector in the region and an analysis of price indicators compared with other cities, helping provide a clearer picture of the sector’s current landscape and level of competitiveness.

The discussions also addressed the Authority’s efforts to organize roundtable meetings with contractors, its role in identifying the challenges facing the sector, and the development of practical solutions aimed at improving the quality of work and enhancing project performance.

The delegation further discussed key aspects of the contracting sector strategy and ongoing development efforts aimed at empowering enterprises and enhancing efficiency and quality, in line with the Kingdom’s national development objectives.
