The Saudi Contractors Authority opened the third International Contracting Conference today at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail attended as patron.
The conference runs on November 15–16, 2022, alongside Saudi Build, which is targeting more than 20,000 visitors.
SCA Chairman Eng. Zakaria Al-Abdulqader said the event draws on Saudi Vision 2030 and its goal of a sustainable contracting sector. He highlighted the Authority's mission to regulate and develop contracting, build specialist capabilities and raise industry standards.
More than 25 local and international speakers will share insights and technologies with over 2,000 contractors and other participants. The event connects industry leaders and decision-makers and explores urban construction technology and equipment, smart cities, quality of life, sustainability and modern building practices.
It targets project managers, interior designers, public and private owners, general contractors, architectural firms, suppliers, fire and safety specialists, sustainable energy and technology companies, and engineering firms.
Other target groups include quantity surveyors, surveyors, legal and insurance firms, machinery and heavy equipment suppliers, transport and infrastructure companies, and developers.
The conference is part of SCA's initiatives to regulate and develop contracting and support its strategic objectives, alongside growth in residential and nonresidential construction in the Kingdom.
