The Saudi Contractors Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Colleges of Excellence to strengthen cooperation in developing national capabilities, qualifying talent, and enhancing workforce efficiency in the contracting sector. The agreement aims to support Saudization objectives and develop national competencies in line with the sector’s needs.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Saudi Contractors Authority by Mr. Abdulmajeed Mohammed Al-Rashoudi, Secretary General of the Saudi Contractors Authority, while Colleges of Excellence was represented by Eng. Ayman bin Mustafa Al Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Colleges of Excellence.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties across several areas, most notably capability development, workforce qualification and Saudization in the contracting sector, as well as the exchange of expertise, knowledge, research findings, and studies in the fields of training, qualification, and quality, in support of the parties’ shared objectives and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Areas of cooperation also include coordinating the analysis and assessment of the contracting sector’s needs in training, qualification, and job localization, as well as designing, developing, and updating the requirements, standards, and skills needed to enhance capability development and increase Saudization rates. The agreement also includes cooperation with the Saudi Contractors Academy in designing training programs and curricula.
The MoU further includes cooperation in enabling and launching professional certifications in technical fields within the contracting sector, preparing and conducting assessments, and organizing related logistical arrangements. It also provides for joint workshops to explore new areas of cooperation that contribute to developing the sector and enhancing the efficiency of national talent.
This MoU is an extension of the Saudi Contractors Authority’s efforts to build strategic partnerships with specialized entities, supporting human capital development, enhancing the readiness of national talent, strengthening the competitiveness of the contracting sector, and contributing to the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
