The Saudi Contractors Authority has released the “Contracting Sector Overview – June 2026” report through the SCAVO platform, highlighting key indicators of projects awarded across the Kingdom during June. The report aims to enable contractors and investors to explore available opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.

The report revealed that June recorded the highest number of projects awarded in 2026, with 25 projects. The total value of awarded projects exceeded SAR 29.5 billion, ranking second in terms of value after May, when the value of awarded projects surpassed SAR 30 billion.

The report indicated that the building and construction sector accounted for the largest share, with 14 projects valued at more than SAR 20.6 billion, representing 56% of the total number of projects. This was followed by the infrastructure and water and energy sectors, each accounting for 20%, while the oil and gas sector accounted for 4%.

Geographically, the Eastern Province led in the number of projects awarded during June, with 10 projects representing 40% of the total. It also ranked first in terms of investment value, exceeding SAR 11.4 billion, followed by the Riyadh Region with a value exceeding SAR 10.8 billion.

The report noted that the projects were distributed across 14 subsectors. Commercial projects recorded the highest number, with four projects, while the mixed-use residential apartments sector recorded the highest financial value, exceeding SAR 6 billion.

The report also showed that the National Housing Company (NHC) topped the list of project owners by value, with a total exceeding SAR 5 billion across six projects, followed by Saudi Aramco with projects valued at more than SAR 4.9 billion.

The report forecast that 23 projects would be awarded during July 2026, with more than 60% concentrated in the building and construction sector. Nearly half of the anticipated projects are expected to be located in the Eastern Province, Riyadh Region, and Makkah Region. Projects are also expected to be tendered by major entities, including the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and several other investment entities.

This report is part of the Saudi Contractors Authority’s ongoing efforts to provide periodic indicators and analyses of the contracting sector, enhancing transparency, supporting strategic planning, and enabling contractors to capitalize on investment opportunities across the Kingdom.
