The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) launched the third edition of the Contracting Sector Excellence Awards for 2023. Registration was open until September 30, 2023, through the Contracting Sector Excellence Awards website.
SCA Chairman Eng. Zakaria Al-Abdulqader emphasized the Authority’s commitment to providing services and initiatives that develop the contracting sector and support its workforce.
He noted that the awards highlight outstanding achievements and talent, strengthening competitiveness in the Kingdom’s second-largest non-oil sector. The sector offers promising investment opportunities aligned with the ambitions and requirements of Saudi Vision 2030.
Through 11 awards, the initiative aims to promote international best practices in contracting, develop local talent, and encourage creativity and innovation by recognizing and supporting outstanding individuals and organizations in construction.
The third edition includes the following award categories:
- Best Construction Contractor.
- Best Mining Services Contractor.
- Best Building Services and Landscaping Contractor.
- Best Organization in Implementing Security, Safety and Occupational Health Practices.
- Best Small or Medium-Sized Contractor.
- Best Project.
- Best Consultancy Firm.
- Best Factory.
- Best Male Leader.
- Best Female Leader.
- Best Innovation.
The Saudi Contractors Authority regulates and develops the contracting industry, builds a skilled and productive workforce, encourages innovation, and organizes events that serve the sector.
The Authority also provides electronic services that support the sector’s development and its workforce through the Muqawil platform.
