SCA Ranks 7th in Great Place to Work’s 2020 Saudi Ranking

The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) places a strong emphasis on its work environment as part of its efforts to achieve its objectives and contribute effectively to Saudi Vision 2030 by regulating and strengthening the contracting industry, the Kingdom’s second-largest non-oil sector. The Authority believes that a workplace that encourages creativity and innovation positively influences the performance of its employees, who are fundamental to its success.

The Saudi Contractors Authority ranked seventh in the 2020 Great Place to Work international awards in the category for government and non-profit organizations across Saudi Arabia.

The key selection criteria include an organization’s ability to attract, develop and retain talent, with particular emphasis on young Saudi professionals, empowering Saudi women and enhancing effectiveness in the labor market.

The assessment uses structured workplace evaluation tools, including employee surveys based on the Trust Index and an audit of the organization’s workplace culture. It also incorporates studies and comparisons of best practices across different types of institutions and organizations. The resulting recommendations and detailed statistics provide a reliable, professional and independent resource that supports the Kingdom’s priorities and aspirations and helps organizations meet international standards.

The Saudi Contractors Authority was established by a Council of Ministers resolution dated 23/11/1436 AH to regulate and develop the contracting sector, build a highly skilled and productive workforce, and create a safe working environment that meets international standards. The Authority therefore strives to find effective solutions to the challenges facing this vital sector through initiatives that encourage innovation and strengthen communication among stakeholders in both the public and private sectors.
