SCA Announces Second Future Projects Forum

The Saudi Contractors Authority announced the second Future Projects Forum, scheduled for February 25–26, 2020, in Riyadh.

The forum gives contractors, investors, suppliers, developers, banks and others a chance to explore future projects and investment opportunities from more than 30 government bodies and leading national companies.

Projects with an estimated value exceeding SAR 450 billion will span Vision 2030 initiatives, oil and gas, petrochemicals, energy, water, PIF portfolio projects, operation and maintenance, infrastructure and housing.

Around 2,000 contractors and other participants are expected, including banks, insurers, suppliers, research centers and researchers.

The forum lets contractors review projects from multiple owners in one place, understand market trends and prepare future plans. Owners can present opportunities, meet contractors and explain requirements, registration and qualification procedures.

Attendance is expected to double from 1,000 to 2,000. SCA aims to strengthen cooperation and help contractors plan using project schedules and estimated costs.

Participants include the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Saudi Aramco and SABIC, alongside Qiddiya, AMAALA and The Red Sea project in tourism and entertainment.

Transport participants include the Ministry of Transport, General Authority of Civil Aviation and SAR. The Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Labor, NEOM and other public and national organizations will also take part. Participation remains open.

The first forum featured 23 project owners and around 1,000 attendees. Its positive results and high satisfaction levels encouraged SCA to expand the second edition.
