Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, inaugurated SCA's regional branch at the Emirate headquarters today. SCA Chairman Eng. Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader attended.
The Governor welcomed the branch's role in regulating construction, raising standards, encouraging innovation, developing skills and improving communication. These efforts support economic sustainability and the shift toward industrialized construction under Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Abdulqader said SCA seeks to lead contracting development in cooperation with all relevant organizations. He described construction as the Kingdom's second-largest non-oil sector, with contracting as a central component.
The new branch expands access to services and strengthens connections among industry participants. SCA's services include contractor classification and licensing, technical and engineering advice, events, conferences and training.
The branch is expected to support economic sustainability, create local jobs and attract investment. It will also strengthen training, professional qualification, quality and safety, while helping create a more effective and transparent environment for Saudi and international businesses.
Al-Abdulqader thanked the Governor for his support. Attendees included business leaders, SCA Deputy Chairman Asim Al-Otaibi, Board members, Secretary-General Abdulmajid Al-Rashoudi, and Eastern Province Branch Director Abdulaziz Al-Muhaish.
