As part of the seventh edition of the Future Projects Forum
(FPF 2025) in Riyadh, a distinctive initiative titled the “National
Construction Festival” is being launched, combining education with hands-on
practical experience and providing Saudi youth with an opportunity to showcase
their talents in the contracting sector.
Over the course of three days, 48 Saudi students from the
National Construction Academy and the Maharat Construction Training Center will
compete in practical challenges designed to simulate real-world construction
environments. Supervised by local and international judges, the competitions
will include professional plumbing works, welding simulation, and reinforcement
of concrete foundations, reflecting labor market requirements and the evolving
needs of the construction sector.
The Festival aims to provide students with genuine field
experience through carefully designed practical activities that build
confidence and enhance technical skills. It also offers participants the
opportunity to engage directly with industry experts and organizations taking
part in the Forum.
The National Construction Festival also serves as a bridge
between education and the labor market by transforming theoretical knowledge
into direct practical application. In doing so, it contributes to preparing a
new generation of qualified national talent and supports the continued
development of the Kingdom’s contracting sector.
The initiative aligns with the
objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasize youth empowerment, human
capital development, and greater participation of national talent in major
development projects. The platform highlights the passion and creativity of the
next generation and equips them to become key contributors to shaping the
future of construction in the Kingdom.
