The Saudi Contractors Authority's Information Center is a reference platform for contracting establishments, workers and others interested in the sector. It provides specialized data and information through the Muqawil platform.

The center has three sections: Statistics, Price Index and Publications.

The Statistics section presents data on contracting establishments by activity, size and region. It also provides workforce data by activity, gender and nationality.

At the time of publication, work was underway to add injury statistics and average salaries for different contracting activities. These figures were expected to be published in February 2021.

Other data offers a broader view of sector trends, including construction permits, road lengths, landscaping, streetlights under construction or planned, and numbers of bridges, tunnels and parks.

The Price Index covers ten main building-material products, with subcategories based on size or type. Historical data dates back to 2015 and is updated monthly, allowing monthly and annual comparisons.

The Publications section offers knowledge resources for contractors, their employees, and interested companies and individuals outside the sector.

Resources include the Guide to Crisis Management in the Contracting Sector, management book summaries, the Saudi Construction Market Report, and the Contracting Sector Statistical Report.

SCA was established by a Council of Ministers resolution dated 23/11/1436 AH to regulate and develop contracting, build productive capabilities, and create a safe working environment that meets international quality standards.

Its initiatives address sector challenges, encourage innovation and strengthen communication among public- and private-sector stakeholders.
