On the first day of the Future Projects Forum at the Crowne Plaza in Riyadh, SCA signed five memoranda of understanding with Saudi Aramco, the Project Management Institute, Elm, Tatweer Buildings Company, and Jubail Industrial College.

The agreements support cooperation, knowledge sharing and contracting development. They cover training, project management information, links between SCA services and public and private organizations, electronic services, contractor qualification and licensing, research, statistics, academic cooperation and training opportunities.

The day's project presentations began with Eng. Bandar Al-Mohammadi, SCA's Head of Strategy and Communication. He outlined the Authority's strategy, future role, scope of work, early priorities, vision and responsibilities.

Aramco's Nadeem Iqbal and Project Engineer Abdullah Al-Suflan presented major projects and the company's approach to quality and excellence in project management.

Majed Al-Tuhaini, SABIC's Director of Construction and Quality, discussed the company's initiatives and its local content and business development unit. He also presented the four pillars of the Nusaned initiative, covering growth, ambitions, investment and workforce qualification.

The Ministry of Housing presented the Sharakat, Wafi and Etmam programs. Operations Director Yahya Siraj introduced Sharakat. Nayef Al-Sharif, Secretary-General of the Off-Plan Sales Committee, explained Wafi and developer qualification. Eng. Khalid Al-Anazi outlined Etmam's objectives and plans.

Major General Eng. Khalid Al-Qabbani, Director-General of Military Works, reviewed Ministry of Defense projects and how they meet the ministry's needs.

Thamer bin Abdullah Al-Ruqayb, Director-General of Projects and Facilities Affairs, outlined Ministry of Interior projects and the department's main responsibilities.

Eng. Abdulrahman Maghrabi presented Tatweer Buildings Company's educational projects. He described its work to provide high-performing facilities for sports, cultural and social activities, including school buildings, multipurpose halls and grass pitches. Health and safety are central priorities, including healthcare services in educational buildings.

Saud bin Khulaif Al-Hamdan, Executive Director of Excellence at Mashroat, discussed infrastructure investment and planning. He expected spending of more than SAR 1.2 trillion over the next five years across urban development, transport, industry, oil and gas, and utilities.

Jabal Omar's Head of Investment and Development Faisal Shaker presented the company's plans, future projects and hotels, including its focus on serving Hajj and Umrah visitors under Vision 2030.

Qiddiya Investment Company CEO Michael Reininger presented its future projects. The final presentation came from Eng. Ahmad bin Abdulrahman Dahi, Director-General of Studies and Design at the Holy Makkah Municipality, on its future projects and studies.

The inaugural forum attracted broad participation. It gives project owners a platform to present projects and reach more bidders, while allowing contractors to explore opportunities and meet owners in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
