The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) has launched two new initiatives, the “Ertiqa” Portal and the “Mimar” Portal, as part of its efforts to enhance contractor readiness and accelerate digital transformation across the sector. The two initiatives were launched on the sidelines of the Future Projects Forum.

The Ertiqa Portal aims to assess contractors’ readiness and enhance their operational and organizational capabilities by providing practical recommendations that help them improve their performance and strengthen their ability to participate in major development projects. The Authority stated that the portal serves as an integrated tool for measuring contractors’ compliance with quality and sustainability standards, while contributing to the development of their technical and administrative capabilities and expanding their opportunities to participate in major national projects.

Ertiqa enables contractors to assess their overall readiness based on clear technical, financial, and administrative criteria and provides them with a structured roadmap to develop their capabilities and advance to higher levels of efficiency. The portal also serves as a key tool for improving contractors’ access to financing and project opportunities by providing financiers and project owners with a reliable and structured assessment through the Readiness Certificate.

The Mimar Portal, meanwhile, is a platform designed to unify the construction journey by connecting individuals with accredited contractors and project managers through integrated services that contribute to greater sector efficiency and improved quality of project delivery.

Mimar provides a comprehensive range of services, including project listings and bid submissions, legally binding contracts that protect the rights of all parties, and a secure payment system designed to enhance the reliability of transactions within the contracting sector.

Through the launch of Ertiqa and Mimar, the Saudi Contractors Authority seeks to foster a fair and competitive business environment, enable contractors and beneficiaries to identify areas for improvement, and encourage the adoption of international best practices, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to advance and strengthen the Kingdom’s contracting and housing sectors.
