The Saudi Contractors Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding today to strengthen cooperation in contracting.
Attendees included Assistant Minister for Executive Affairs Abdulhadi bin Ahmad Al-Mansouri, SCA Chairman Eng. Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, Board Member Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, and Deputy Minister for Projects Eng. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Rumaih.
SCA Secretary-General Abdulmajid bin Mohammed Al-Rashoudi and the ministry's Director-General of Construction Projects Ahmad bin Khalil Al-Musallamani signed the memorandum.
It provides for SCA services to support the ministry and the qualification of Saudi contractors to serve Saudi embassies and consulates worldwide.
It also covers announcing ministry projects through the projects platform, helping Saudi contractors access overseas work, sharing studies and statistics, and cooperating on events and conferences.
The memorandum is expected to strengthen skills and capabilities and create opportunities for Saudi contractors in projects inside and outside the Kingdom.
SCA works to regulate and develop contracting, build productive capabilities, encourage innovation and strengthen communication among industry participants.
