Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail opened the fifth Future Projects Forum today in Riyadh. SCA organized the event with 41 public- and private-sector organizations presenting more than 3,000 projects valued at SAR 1 trillion.
The minister said such events strengthen connections between public and private organizations. Sharing data and experience helps local and international contractors plan accurately, improve performance and identify suitable opportunities.
He described contracting as a foundation of the Kingdom's growth and a key enabler of Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and other industries.
Al-Hogail highlighted government support for the sector, including the establishment of SCA. Its Board brings together government and private-sector representatives to identify opportunities for development and growth. He also noted the directive establishing a permanent coordinating committee involving several government bodies.
SCA Chairman Eng. Zakaria Al-Abdulqader praised the Kingdom's economic progress under its leadership. He said the forum would present around 3,000 projects with an estimated value exceeding SAR 1 trillion and was expected to attract more than 3,000 contractors and other participants from 16 countries.
He added that 25% of registered attendees were from outside Saudi Arabia. This reflects the forum's role in highlighting future opportunities and the contracting sector's importance in delivering Vision 2030 projects.
